Why is going to Comic-Con, as?
I know that Comic-Con is celebrating popular culture such as comic books, movies and games video and that is coming out in 2010. Do not have one in Toronto next year and want to go, but I have some questions for those who have been there before. 1. What is the difference between going for a day and go for three days? 2. Will I get a hotel or travel accommodations or so to the Comic-Con? 3. What is like going to a convention Comic-Con (please provide details as possible)? What events are and where they have the video game expo? So basically I would like to know the experience of those have gone to a show of Comic-Con.
While I have not been to Comic-Con in San Diego, I attended several conventions in Pittsburgh, I hope you can help. 1.) Going one day is a fun trip. Every time I've gone to a convention, I've only gone one day. Depends on what day you choose to go too. The best advice I can give is to see what events are scheduled for each day. If you see a panel / results would also attend / meet, I suggest you go for that day. Moreover, on the first day will be the best selections of merchandise, but many times on Saturday (if they took place over a weekend) has the most runs. If you choose the way for three days, often get special discounts on ticket prices or special awards. I know Pittsburgh Steel City offers discount tickets, and free gift bags for people who buy passes for the weekend. 2.) If you are planning to attend any Comic-Con, the best advice I can give of accommodation is to check the website of the convention. Many times they will have specific hotels that offer accommodation for the convention. But I am sure that these book quickly and are often quite expensive. I suggest that you check the area around the Convention site and find a cheap hotel room in. Also can suggest you do in advance if that many people are booking rooms. 3.) Cons have different flow events. Some panels have guests, where you can ask questions of the guests present. Some may have auctions, costume contests, and events (these are always fun). Most drawbacks have video game rooms / tournaments. The best advice I can give is to check the program to find where and when it is happening. Go to Comic-Con is an experience very unique. Especially if it's a small town like me. When I went to my first conviction, I took a few friends who are also interested in comics. Since we arrived in a town so small, it was amazing to meet so many others who share our interests. We find a lot of new people, all of which were very friendly. I also met many authors and artists and celebrity guests (even got to meet Stan Lee in September !!!). It is very fun and very good to know that opportunities such as this exists. It is wonderful that people can gather and have shared experiences with their passions. So with everything, I recommend you go anywhere with you have the opportunity to attend. They're wonderful. And if you are one, I'm sure it will soon become addicted. I do not think that will never tire of going to comic conventions. : D
